This project focused on transforming a family bathroom into a brighter, more spacious environment—without increasing its footprint. The solution was to build upward: by raising the ceiling and exposing the original roof beams, the room instantly gained a sense of openness and architectural character. A newly installed roof window floods the space with natural light, enhancing the feeling of airiness.
A key part of the brief was to retain the existing utility cabinet and make it a central feature of the design. Rather than working around it, the scheme embraces it—allowing the design to evolve in a way that balances timeless elements with contemporary updates.
The material palette combines classic and modern influences. Natural stone flooring grounds the space, while black accents introduce contrast and a refined edge. Lush greenery brings life and softness, reflecting the clients’ love of nature. An exposed brick wall adds depth, texture, and warmth, creating a visually rich and inviting bathroom that feels both functional and thoughtfully curated.
